Speech Therapy Job Summary:
We are very excited to be recruiting to a new post within our organisation. It will be based primarily in Ealing, Hammersmith & West London’s College, providing a Speech and Language Therapy service into Southall and Hammersmith & Ealing Colleges.

Salary: £25,500-£32,000 p.a. (depending on experience)
Contract: 1.0 WTE (37.5 hours per week) 48 weeks per year
Alex Kelly Ltd (AK Ltd) is a successful and innovative independent provider of Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy based in Romsey, Hampshire. AK Ltd has grown organically over the last 10 years, and now employs an ever-growing team of 16 speech and language therapists and an occupational therapist. AK Ltd also runs a unique day service in Romsey, Hampshire which provides a Total Communication environment for adults with a learning disability and / or autism. Within the day service we employ 8 staff who are all trained to a high level to support a variety of communication needs. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of our latest expansion. AK Ltd will be providing a Speech and Language Therapy Service into West London Colleges. You will work within the inclusive learning department of these further education colleges supporting the communication needs of 16-24 year olds with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), severe learning disabilities (SLD) and high functioning autism. Currently we have 2 speech and language therapists based in London, 1 of whom is the clinical lead for the London team and will work closely with you in the colleges. You will also have protected time in your week for CPD and will be asked to do some consultancy work with children in the area.
In the colleges you will manage a specialist caseload independently, but under the supervision of the clinical lead SLT, and this will include assessment, diagnosing, prioritizing, managing intervention and discharging students with a range of communication disorders. You will work closely with the clinical lead SLT and also teaching staff and other professionals as appropriate, providing advice, training and education as necessary. You will advise on the social skills curriculum and run social skills groups as required.
To ensure that you feel part of the culture at AK Ltd we will ask you to travel to Fleming House, our base in Hampshire once per half term. During this time you will take part in activities such as clinical supervision, CPD events with the wider SLT team and in house training.
