WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a therapist who is skilled, flexible, adaptable and pursuing ongoing learning and growth. Whilst we would like an experienced therapist we are committed to providing everyone an equal opportunity at application, however, it will be necessary to have worked for a minimum of two-three years post qualification, within a suitable clinical environment.
All current therapists working at the Clapham South Clinic are PROMPT trained to varying levels. Justine Rhind (PROMPT Instructor) provides ongoing mentoring.
We are looking for someone to support and compliment us in our treatment and management of our clients, who have a range of complex needs, but more commonly motor-speech difficulties.
Training at Level 1 PROMPT would be highly recommended however if you do not already have this, we will support you to access the Level 1 PROMPT course at RCSLT in October, or CHORLEY in November. Justine Rhind will be the Instructor for both these courses.
Our vision is to be able to offer a cohesive and consistent service to children of all ages who are developing communication skills. We have an ever expanding case-load and a number of clients who need intensive intervention, and in particular, need support to consolidate and develop their pre-linguistic skills, play, social awareness, receptive language etc before they can focus more specifically on integrating the development of these skills with the development of necessary speech-motor skills (PROMPT Technique). For these children we support the use of the PROMPT Philosophy and Approach but having advanced training and skills in; Hanen, SCERTS, PECS, AAC, Makaton, etc would be highly beneficial additions to your repertoire of therapeutic skills.
If you enjoy;
- working with children who are in the transition from pre-linguistic to linguistic
- are interested in developing specialist skills in the treatment of children with complex needs and speech-motor difficulties
- working as part of a motivated and collaborative team
and would appreciate;
- the opportunity to develop independent speech and language therapy services with flexible working hours, excellent rates of pay, and ongoing clinical and business support.
then this case-load would interest you.
Please note this is a developing case-load and can be tailored to suit you.
