Speech Therapy Job Summary:
Working in the school’s Communications Base with KS3, 4 & 5 students on the autistic spectrum, this exciting opportunity calls for a qualified, dedicated and caring speech and language therapist to work closely with our friendly team of support professionals.
Experience of working with children with speech and language difficulties in a school setting is preferred. You will manage a case load of 18-20 students, involving assessment, setting targets in collaboration with school staff and parents, developing and implementing direct and indirect speech and language programmes to meet students' needs as specified on their Statement of Special Educational Need or Educational Health and Care Plan. You will provide individual or small group sessions and provide specialist support for students. Some formal training for school staff may be required. You will also provide ad hoc training and advice in a flexible manner for staff either requesting help or those referred by the school. In addition you will provide support to parents; meeting parents at annual or multi-professional reviews and arranging ad hoc meetings to offer support and advice as required.
The successful candidate should be flexible, comfortable and able to adapt the role to meet the needs of our students and members of the department. Your skills, training and experiences will greatly enhance the help we offer our students. You will be supported in meeting CPD requirements and clinical supervision can be arranged.

- 37 hours per week
- £27,040 to £30,090 (actual (part-time) annual salary range)
